You can now exclude sheets using a command delimited list of sheet numbers. E.g. 1,2,3,4.
For example, if you set the number of sheets to 8 and use alphanumeric sheet labeling and then exclude 1,2,3,4 you will end up with E, F, G, H as your sheet labels in the draw schedule. A, B, C, D will be omitted. In this scenario it also means the draw schedule will be generated for 4 sheets (search for matching 4 sheet templates) because 4 of 8 are being excluded.

I am having a similar issue. We have 10 sheets available. One league is using 1-5 and another is using 6-10. Both leagues schedules are generated as using A-E.

Steve Mackey: You can now solve this using the new "Exclude sheets" feature in the draw schedule settings.
Set number of sheets to 10. For one pool / league exclude sheets 6,7,8,9,10 and then for the other pool / league exclude 1,2,3,4,5.

Will this be implemented in time for this curling season?

Dave Rapin: Thank you very much Dave! The comma delimited closed list would work but indicating the closed sheets may be confusing for some. If that makes the backend easy though, by all means, it will work.
As a suggestion, I do think a "use sheets" model selected by check boxes would be ideal.
Rationale is long term idea of clubs possibly using IO one day for complete ice scheduling with overall sheet availability. Thought being if 4 sheets are in use for an event, other sheets could be used by another event at the same time. The "use sheets" model would secure those sheets against one event leaving the remaining open for scheduling.
Our interclub can also play at multiple facilities, so integrating the ability to select the rink and sheets would also be ideal, but one day maybe.
Thanks again for looking into this, looking forward to seeing it!

Chris: Chris: Most of the time a club will use all of its sheets for a league or competition. We only want to handle the abnormal case of excluding sheets, so that it can be safely ignored most of the time (which will be 100% of the time at a lot of our clubs).
Yes I agree that eventually it can fit into a capacity calculation for ice rentals / booking (something we eventually plan to have).

Dave Rapin: Fair enough. Thank you again for looking into this!

I think the best way to handle this is to have a comma delimited list of sheets that are closed.
So if you wanted 3,4,5,6 you would specify that "1,2" are closed. If you wanted to use sheets 1,2,4,5, then you would specify that "3" is closed. etc.
This will also allow you the flexibility to exclude the edges in a competitive league for example. E.g. "1,8" to use only 2,3,4,5,6,7 (or B,C,D,E,F,G).
