Allow curlers to submit results for their games
complete
Dave Rapin
Curlers will be able to enter results for their own games (and only their own games). This should be a mobile first UI (smart phone).
* Administrators can able to enable this on event creation or by editing the event. By default it will be disabled.
* Show the list of games they are participating in descending date order (any one of their profiles).
* Prevent submission of results for games that occurred more than a week ago.
* Prevent submission of results for games on future dates.
* Track and show which curler profile submitted a result.

Hi Dave, I tested this out and it works well. This will take a the workload on game result posting away from the Club Admins and make the teams responsible for posting their own results. Thanks for your support.

You can now turn on participant scoring in the event settings for your league or competition.
You will also need to assign curler profiles to teams in order for this to work (otherwise, how would we know who participates in a game!).
Once enabled, curlers can submit scores / results for games they participated in that have occured within the past 8 days (8 because we expect curlers to occasionally enter last weeks scores when they do this weeks scores). Once a game has a result (is complete), they can no longer submit scores or results for it. They can access this feature in their "Teams" section (Account dropdown menu) once logged in.
See attached screenshots.
For now only games scores / results are enabled. End scoring by participants is not yet supported.
We'll be iterating on this feature to improve it over time, including proper end scoring amount other potential enhancements. We wanted to get this version out ASAP so you can start using it.

Looking forward to this. I don't know if you need to prevent submission of games that occurred more than a week ago. Can we start without that option and see if there are issues?

Rather than prevent score entry for past games, prevent score entry for games already scored. Often teams forget to score on the date of the game, but will do so the next time they are at the rink. Once smart phone entry is available, they would do so when they realize they forgot to enter the score. If an incorrect score is entered, then Admin / Event Manager would have to be notified to correct it. Perhaps a "incorrect score" button could be added to make that easier (i.e. send the corrected score to Admin).

I would like to see this added so curlers can submit the score for their game and the database would track the user and time for the submission

I would really like to see this added. Building a table of Event Managers to score games for each league is a lot of work. I'm wondering if it is necessary. Can we just allow anyone that is registered in the league to submit games? Instead of a Score Page, add a <href> to each game that opens the Score Page for that game.

No we can't just globally allow curlers to score their own games. It needs to be a flag on the event (maybe I also add a default flag for the club so you don't have to keep setting it). Curling I/O hosts some very competitive events (Briers, Scotties) where it would be inappropriate to have curlers score their own games :)
The UI will be the same. They just won't be able to input anything for games they aren't part of.

Dave Rapin: I'd like to create an email address that all curlers will use to submit their scores. I'd like to provide the users with a link that will pass the userid and password with the url to the event management page. I need to find a simpler way than setting up individual event managers.
