Add a Stripe alternative for online payments

Add another payment gateway option for club's that want to accept online payments, but do not want to use Stripe.
Curling I/O has a very deep integration with Stripe Connect and this is in fact tied in with our revenue model (a small portion of every payment is our application fee).
Providing other options, like bring your own payment gateway integrations (Moneris, etc.) is not only a large undertaking, it may also require alternate (subscription based) revenue models for clubs who choose this option.
This is definitely a feature we want to eventually offer to mitigate risk and better serve clubs who already have offline payment processor relationships or who cannot fit within Stripe's prohibited and restricted business rules for payment processing (specifically raffles and prize pools).
Keep in mind that other payment gateways may have similar rules and / or higher risk fees. All payment processors I am aware of have different rates for offline and online payments, so make sure you ask them!
Let us know how important (or not important) this is for your club.

Our new default payment processor SportsPay is now integrated and available to our clubs. We will continue to support Stripe in the near term (as long as they don't do anything disruptive). You can access the SportsPay onboarding from your Club dropdown -> Stripe section.
The goal is to keep both payment processor options for the sake of redundancy, however most of our clubs are probably better off with SportsPay as they make the new FINTRAC requirements much easier.

Hello Dave. At this point, a feature you describe is not important for us at the Calgary Curling Club. It might be in the future but for now we would be ambivalent regarding such features. That said, we would not want to see any degradation in your service level (which is excellent) or fee model changes that could be attributed to creating new payment gateways. As an aside, I'm wondering if some regional jurisdictions in Canada (e.g. gaming authorities) may also restrict payment methods for "gambling"?
As always, keep up the great work! Ron.
